.AFTERCARE.
1. DO NOT PICK OR PULL AT THE EXTENSION
duh.
2. NO OILS SIS!
Oils break down the bond, if the bond is weak the quicker you lose your beautiful extension. :( This includes oils we naturally produce, so NO touching! Did you know some of us have oily lashes? Yeah, its a thing and this might make you not the best candidate for lash extensions. It is a bummer for us both.
3.SWEAT, HUMIDITY, & TEARS
Salt breaks down the bond just like oil ( keep that in mind for you sun and pool goddesses ) If you are constantly out in the sun, working out, hitting the sauna, ocean, and or pool then PLEASE make sure you are washing your lashes after! I have plenty of aftercare for you to purchase that I know works and is lash safe to keep you at your fluffiest and fullest.. not to mention CLEAN.
VACA?
If traveling somewhere HOT / tropical? ENJOY it to the fullest but be prepared to lose more lashes than normal and schedule your lash fill as soon as you get back.
CRY BABY?
Ok, lets be real. Shit happens and we all cry, that is HUMAN and I encourage a good record with some “whine” and crackers.
Bad joke aside. Unfortunately tears can break down our lash bond too, so if you’re going through a break up or your favorite character was just killed off in the super good book you’re reading, DRY THOSE TEARS and come have a lash nap while I fix those lashes.
4. WASH EVERY DAY
Sara, come on…. every day? YES girl, EVERY DAY.
Our lashes naturally catch debris, old skin, and natural oils DAILY to protect our eyes. They cute and are on our face for a reason. All of this will get trapped in your lash line and will create terrible retention and suffocate your natural lashes. This means they will DIE. YOUR NATURAL LASHES WILL DIE.
To avoid that happening wash your lashes with a lash safe cleanser and a fluffy eye shadow brush daily. Up and Down strokes or Side to side across the lash line. Don’t forget to wash your eyelid and surrounding areas of the eye with circular motions. RINSE WELL and PAT dry with a soft towel or paper towel . I recommend storing your lash brush flat to dry to avoid molding or loosening of the brush hairs over time.
Dragging motions with cotton rounds or fibrous towels can snag your lash extensions and pull out the natural lash. NO dry cotton rounds or Q- tips near your lashes. EVER. Use disposable lip gloss wands! ( Amazon has these available for purchase.)
Comb DAILY with lash wand to keep volume fans fluffy and open , also to help direct outgrown lashes in-between fills.
Oh, your skin care routine will stay the same! just avoid your lashes and no longer use makeup remover ( unless lash safe, which I have retail ) on eyes
5. NO MASCARA.
None. NEVER. Not ever.
I WILL see the residue it leaves and I will remove your lashes.
6. MAKEUP
You can totally wear makeup. Just not mascara :)
Face glam? YES HONEY.
Eyeshadow ? GO FOR it!
Eyeliner? ehhhhhh, yes and no. Liquid is best if you must . I recommend applying wet black eyeshadow with a liner brush, It is much easier to remove and much much more gentle on your extensions. STAY AWAY from cream liners. They like to buildup on the lash line and harbor bacteria, is also nearly impossible to remove without damaging extensions.
Removing makeup is easy as long as you’re using lash safe products ( which I have available for purchase and highly recommend. ) and doing so gently with care.
7. SLEEP
Satin pillowcase will be your BESTIE . If you sleep on your side or on your face you will lose more lashes on that side or sooner than others.
